Special Track on Cloud Technologies in Simulation Applications

Existing simulation application providers aim to provide a wide range of functions while guaranteeing promised performance such as reliability, availability, and security. To provide personalized simulation services to users, a great amount of simulation applications are created, transferred and processed by a lot of distributed servers and devices. This brings several big challenges including managing computational infrastructure and communication services, analyzing data for personalized service recommendation. As a new paradigm, cloud computing can provide on-demand and flexible processing for a huge amount of simulation applications, and provisioning of resources based on Internet technologies. The flexibility of infrastructure in cloud computing provides the desired performance (e.g., reliability and scalability) for simulation application providers. Cloud-based methods pertain to many different aspects for existing simulation application providers, and can increase their applications in modern industrial enterprises.
This special session is a place where researchers and practitioners share ideas on the methodologies and the applications of cloud technologies in simulation applications. Our interested topics are enumerated in the below, yet submissions in the relevant fields are welcome.
